New Year, New Goals and Resolutions!

I can’t believe it’s already New Years Eve! Time really flew by this year!

I’m making a list of my goals and resolutions for 2018. I know some people can’t stand making resolutions and goals at the new year but I enjoy it.

I look back every year in my previous day planner and check off what I’ve accomplished and make note of what I didn’t and how to reach it or if it's still even a priority! So many things change in a year, sometimes I look back at the things I put on my goal list and think, I don't need that anymore, what a waste of money!

Sadly this year (even just within the last week!), so many people I know have passed away and some being extremely young and/or with very young children. It really made me stop and think about what has been important to me. It definitely made me realize I have wasted so much time in the last year doing some things that I really didn't want to be doing or that made me unhappy. I want to focus on family and doing more things together.

My main goal is to take a big family vacation every year and make memories with my family that we can always have. I didn’t get to travel growing up. My first trip, I was about 21 years old and I went on an all-inclusive to Cuba. It was amazing but nothing compares to the family vacations that I've taken with my love and little guy! Just watching him wheel his little suitcase through the airport seriously melts my heart!!! I really want my kids to experience family trips and vacations so that's what I'll be working towards.

(Here's a few photos from our trip to California this year, and also Quebec)

One of my resolutions is to spend less money shopping for things we don't need and eating more meals at home with the family. Cutting back on some things that just don't matter for things like vacations and our dream home.

Wish me luck! What’s one of your goals or resolutions?

Wishing you all a very safe and happy New Years Eve! Please DO NOT drink and drive!
